Day 2

Sake Diary Day 2: It's not sake!!! I have to rename the diary to nihonshu. Sake is a more general term for alcohol which caused some confusion today. Lunch was okinomiyaki with octopus balls, hard to describe the octopus balls but they were delicious served with nihonshu. The nihonshu (sake) was served at room temperature and in a glass standing in a square laquered box also filled with sake. Odd but very good.

Dinner was shabu-shabu with sake made by the restaurant. We tried the sake cold but it wasn't that good. Was much better warmed up. Best sake so far was the one at lunch today.

        • Adrian Dillon I hope you mixed & cooked the Okinominyaki yourselves. I quite enjoy it, M not so much. I had sake served the same way at a teppanyaki place in Hong Kong - different, but doesn't affect the taste does it? Look forward to further updates
