Day 8

Post date: Jul 03, 2011 7:51:50 AM

Walked the "Philosophers walk" today. The end felt more like "Side Show Alley" than philosophy. However I did try more "stuff on a stick". In this case it was tornado potato which looked more appealing in the photo than was handed to me but was still nice. The highlight of today was going back to the yakitori bar, where we met up with Kiyomi, Yu and Chie again. Great night where we again soaked up culture and sake.

Instead of the potato on a stick I should have got vegetable on a stick that looked just like a thingy (lightly pickled cucumber). The best sake was still last nights'. This concludes day 8 sake diary. (see day 7 for ichiban sake) We did discover the best way to drink shochu. Lemon and lime shochu is the equivalent of stolikinaya but better.

        • John Miezitis A sake diary with out the word sake would be like the world according to Garp without Garp in it. Unsure when we are visiting the Ninja museum. Too late to ask SWMBO.
